Car Seat Checkpoint 9/20/2015

Saint Francis Hospital was kind enough to work with us to host a wonderful Car Seat Checkpoint at our dealership over the weekend. The turn out was great with a line out the door for most of the event. The technicians who volunteered for this event took the time to teach parents and guardians the proper way to install and remove car seats. They were even kind enough to give out free car seats to families whose car seats were expired or unsafe. We had a wonderful time and look forward to having another!

Michael C. has been an part of the Bertera family for over 20 years, starting in our Sales department and finishing at our Chevrolet location in Palmer, MA. As the shuttle-driver or more affectionately referred to as the “Concierge”, Michael always greeted everyone with a warm smile and pleasant small talk. Michael, his wife, and their French poodle, Petey are relocating to New Mexico where they will spend their retirement relaxing in the warm climate. We will miss you immensely Michael!

Car Seat Checkpoint 9/12/15

On Saturday Bertera and Safe Kids teamed up for a Car Seat Checkpoint at our Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram location in West Springfield.

There are a lot more factors that go into choosing the right car seat for your child and there is a lot more to Car Seat Checkpoints than meets the eye. When choosing which car seat to purchase you must keep a few things in mind, how old is your child? How much does your child weigh? How many children do you need in car seats? Is your vehicle capable of carrying a car seat safely? Some vehicles come equipped with anchors to keep the car seat firmly in place. Others come equipped with areas to tie the seat down, one thing they all have in common is that a seat belt is NEVER enough to secure a car seat in your vehicle.

Enjoy these images of our Car Seat Checkpoint on Saturday September 12, 2015.

If you’re looking to learn more about what type of car seat to purchase or how to install it please visit ssafercar.gov/therightseat.

We recently had an unexpected visit from the Daughters of the American Revolution. During their visit instead of shopping or looking to test drive a vehicle they presented us with an award for correct display and patriotic presentation of the flag of the United States of America! Chris P. was kind enough to accept the award on behalf of Bertera Subaru Outlet in Hartford. Thank you Daughters of the American Revolution for this pleasant surprise.

Enjoy some photos taken at the time of the presentation.

This one needed to be shared! We love it when our customers send us letters and emails after their buying experience. Read some of the words Joyce and John sent to us about our impeccable salesman Paul M! And thank you Joyce and John for taking the time to send us this wonderful thank you letter!
