When you look at the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, it is easy to say that not much has changed. Jeep has a pretty firm grip on the SUV market with little to no competition in the off-road market. So what can the folks over at Jeep do to make sure their SUV can hang with the other brands? Throw as many new tech features into the vehicle as you can, obviously. The new available features improve the quality of life for every past and current Wrangler owner.
We are expecting a full feature update for the new 2018 Wrangler at the Consumer Electronics Show. Attendees even have a chance to take one of the 4 available Wranglers for a spin. The most formidable update would have to be to the Wrangler’s connectivity. The 2018 Wrangler now has Apple and Android watch support. This means you can unlock your doors, remotely start your vehicle, or even flash your headlights all from your watch!
Uconnect is also receiving an update to better serve its drivers. The Drive ‘n Save feature will monitor your driving patterns and send the information to auto insurance agencies to help reduce your rates. Don’t worry; this is an optional feature. If you have kids getting ready to drive, keep an eye out for the new Family Alerts system. This will allow you to monitor your child’s location and drive data via Smartphone app. With even more parental features available, the Wrangler may be a hot commodity for new and experienced drivers alike.
The Amazon Echo and Echo Dot were a hot commodity this holiday season. You may be happy to know that Jeep has recently announced that their new model year vehicles will support Amazon Alexa. You will be able to activate a number of features with your voice, such as turning on the engine, inputting directions, or even checking the fuel without being inside your vehicle. We expect to see more features announced later this week.
Amazon Alexa Support is now available on select models!
