Subaru of America announced their newest release, the 2019 Subaru Ascent, at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 28th, 2017. The new family-oriented SUV expands on Subaru’s strengths while delivering a completely new experience behind the wheel. There’s more than enough space for the entire family and the new SUV even has new safety features on board.

You can take your pick of bench seating or captain’s chairs in the second row. Yes, that means the all-new Ascent comes in 7-seat and 8s-seat configurations. Naturally, the new Subaru also comes with the manufacturer’s renowned All-Wheel Drive system. When the Ascent hits dealers, you’ll have the choice between the base, Premium, Limited, and Touring trims. We’re expecting to see the new SUV hit dealers at some point this summer.

Every trim on the Ascent includes standard three-zone automated climate control to ensure every passenger is comfortable during their ride. Ambient and footwell lighting can also be added as an available option.

The all-new 2019 Subaru Ascent is the largest Subaru in the lineup. It’s also the only Subaru with nineteen cup holders and eight USB charging ports. The all-new Ascent ensures all your devices stay charged and all your cups remain secure, no matter how long the trip.

The 8.7 inches of ground clearance allows for comfortable entry both in the front and rear. You also won’t have to worry about filling up too often because the Ascent provides more than a 500-mile range on a single tank. Under the hood, you have an all-new 2.4-liter BOXER engine. The engine produces 260 horsepower and 277 lb.ft. Did we mention the Ascent can also tow up to 5,000 pounds?

Check out this quick overview of some of the available features on the new 2019 Subaru Ascent!

When it comes to technology, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Ascent offers the latest STARLINK multimedia system with a multi-touch high-resolution display. Yes, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available, among other apps. Pair your phone wirelessly via Bluetooth connection. For the first time ever in a Subaru, in-car Wi-Fi will be available. The speeds are limited to an LTE connection, but this should be plenty for all the devices in the SUV.

STARLINK connected Subaru Ascents have access to remote engine start on models with a push-button start, Anti-theft vehicle immobilizer, child safety functions, over the air updates, and more!

Included in every 2019 Ascent is the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure, Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, and even a new EyeSight Assist Monitor which gives the driver a heads-up display of all the previously mentioned warnings. Other advanced safety features like Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and more!

You know if it has a Subaru logo on the front of it, it’s going to be a safe vehicle. Within the walls of the all-new Ascent included are Frontal Airbags, standard front side pelvis & torso airbags, side curtain airbags which offer front and rear coverage, as well as a driver’s knee airbag.
